My journey with The Hoffman Agency began with a visit to their London office back in 2023 when I had the opportunity to study abroad with the School of Journalism and Communications (SOJC) at the University of Oregon.
After many agency visits, there was only one that stood out to me: The Hoffman Agency.
Fast-forward to today, where I am now sitting at the Portland office starting the internship program.
The Transition: I Couldn’t Be More Thrilled
When I found out about this internship, I was ecstatic, but with that emotion also came nerves. What would it be like? Did college prepare me? Is it going to be hard to work a full-time job out of college? Will the adjustment be hard?
The answer is … there is no right answer.
Everyone’s experience is different, and that is why the internship program is so great. Although we are all coming from different experiences, we are all treated with the same respect and trust. The transition from college to a full-time job has not been easy, but with the support from the Hoffman team, it was made possible.
As an intern here at The Hoffman Agency, I am surrounded by passionate individuals dedicated to turning the complexity of tech into compelling stories. I have the privilege of diving into real-world PR challenges and working hands-on to contribute to impactful stories.
The Hoffman Agency has a unique environment that has allowed me to learn invaluable lessons within just my first week. The dynamic and collaborative culture of the company is what makes the relationships so strong. I am so excited to see where these next three months take me.
To Infinity and Beyond the Office
When I am not at work, you can often find me soaking up the rare Oregon sun. I love being outside — anything from walking to skiing, you can count me in!
When it comes to traveling, there is just about nothing that can hold me back. Travel has been one of the most important parts of my life. Traveling has taught me so many things about myself and the world around me. It was the first thing that opened my eyes to communication. I found it amazing the way in which people communicate differently around the world and how that translates in any given place.
I am fascinated with the world’s beauty and the way that it can teach you so many lessons one day at a time.
Embracing Growth
From intern to aspiring PR professional, my journey thus far has been nothing short of game changing.
Starting from my initial visit to their London office to now with my very first internship at Hoffman’s Portland location, every step has been a learning experience. Each day brings new experiences, insights and fun challenges that help my personal and professional growth.
I look forward to what this experience has to hold at such a transformative time in my life. Thank you, Hoffman team, for this big new step!
