Job Openings Senior Role – Talent and Culture – Asia Pacific

Singapore

Have you watched the Apple TV hit series Ted Lasso?

While initially miscast as the coach of an English soccer club, his leadership eventually gains traction, a combination of smarts, experience, and common sense. He’s in it with this team, showing his human side that often manifests as levity.

This role has mani similarities to a coach. We’d love to hire a person in the Ted Lass mode.

We want you to obsess, assess, identify potential and help people grow. Where you spot weakness, we want story arcs where ingenious schemes are hatched to help characters evolve. We want you to put on disguises and stake out other football clubs to build a pipeline of players that we can poach. Most importantly, we want you to also be the lead cheerleader for the kind of culture and brand that we can be.

And if we’re being meta, we want you to win as many Emmy and SAG awards doing this job as Jason Sudekis has won playing the iconic role.

That said, since you’re not an imaginary TV show character, these are some pain points that we’ve identified as a management team:

  • Charting Hoffman’s strategy for acquiring, managing, and nurturing the talent that is the primary capital of our agency’s business.
  • Our organization is going through a phase of hypergrowth – so we also want this coach to champion initiatives that will act as catalysts for our culture to percolate and scale in tandem with our growth.
  • We have trainings, but we want a game plan. Critically, we want someone to build symbiotic relationships between business, operations, and talent related initiatives.
  • We have ambition. That ambition involves onboarding more markets and people – at lightspeed. We want you to think about how we can create an equal playing field for employees in measuring talent that factors in nationality, race, culture, economics, and practicality.
  • We want you to orchestrate succession through upward mobility, instead of induced panic from blind-sided attrition.
  • Awards.
  • We want you to bring Walter White levels of precision chemistry in formulating all the above solutions – We want you to tell us exactly how you want to do it, what you need to get cooking.
  • We want you to come in ready to disagree with us and convince us why you know better.
  • This is a cabinet level role and will report directly to the C-suite.
